What is Psychology? 

Have you ever wondered why we do what we do? Within our undergraduate psychology program, you'll explore the reasons behind human reasoning and discover what makes people tick. Our student-focused program is designed to train you to understand human behavior and functioning. Throughout the program, your studies will emphasize experimental methodology and statistical training. You will also assist faculty members in research and develop independent projects that you will present at regional and national conferences. Over the course of the program, you will be introduced to a broad range of topics, including emotion, intergroup relations, prejudice, neuroscience and environmental psychology.

Job Placement and Career Preparation 

An undergraduate degree in psychology provides a general understanding of human behavior from multiple perspectives, including physiology, health, intergroup interaction, environment, sex/gender, personality, etc. This knowledge is useful in any number of careers. Our graduates have continued on to Master’s programs in counseling and experimental psychology. Students are also prepared to enter doctoral programs in clinical or experimental psychology, or other related fields. The knowledge gained in research methodology and statistical concepts is useful in industry and health related fields.
