The University of West Alabama is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s and education specialist degrees.

The College of Business is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) to offer the following degrees: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Management, and Marketing and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Quantitative Finance and Econometrics (QFE) degree is pending an ACBSP accreditation decision in November 2021. The Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) started in Fall 2021, and it will not be submitted for accreditation until the first class of graduating students. In addition to earning the aforementioned degrees on campus, the BBA degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, and Marketing; the MBA; and the DBA may be obtained completely online.
