  • Immunization Records and Medical History are completed through Student Medical Report and Immunization Form.
  • An official transcript is an unopened, stamped transcript or an electronic transcript sent directly from the institution.

Transfer Partnerships and Equivalencies

UWA has partnerships with various community colleges in Alabama and Mississippi. Students wishing to self-evaluate coursework taken at a partner institution may use the transfer equivalency guides found here.

Transfer of Credit Policy

Transfer credit evaluations are conducted in the Office of the Registrar. The evaluation process begins after a student is admitted as a degree seeking student to the university or has completed the reactivation process with the Office of Registration and Records if a returning UWA student.

Transfer Scholarships

Quality and price are two important considerations when you decide where you want to transfer. At the University of West Alabama, one of Alabama’s oldest and most prestigious universities, you can save even more on your degree with our various scholarship offerings.

To apply for transfer scholarships from the Admissions Office, UWA applicants should fill out the Trustee Scholarship Application found here (you will need your UWA username and password).

Please email if you have any questions about the scholarship application or awarding process.
