Requesting a Transcript

The University of West Alabama uses the National Student Clearinghouse as its trusted agent for processing online transcript requests.  This process is completely secure.

To order an official transcript, visit the National Student Clearinghouse and click on the green “Order Transcript(s)” button. The site will walk you through placing your order.

You can order transcripts using your debit/credit card anytime. Processing times may vary due to the number of factors, but your order is usually processed within 24 hours. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is complete.

For electronic delivery: there is a $2.25 processing fee per transcript.

For paper delivery: costs of transcripts that are mailed will vary depending on the number of copies needed and on the shipping method (standard or expedited).

You can check the status of your transcript request at any time by visiting the National Student Clearinghouse and entering your transcript order number and your email address.  You will also receive email notifications of your order status.

Students who were enrolled prior to 1984 will not be able to request an electronic copy of their transcript, but can have it mailed through the National Student Clearinghouse. Please note that these transcripts may take additional time to process.

Updating and Amending Student Records

Students who wish to change their names do so within the Office of the Registrar.  A form is provided for the student wishing to make the change.  To process the change, the University of West Alabama requires a copy of this form and legal documents declaring the change.  Legal documents include marriage certificates, divorce decrees, and court orders.
