Required:
- Earned Doctorate in a related field or earned Doctorate plus 18 hours of elementary or early childhood graduate coursework.
- An understanding of competency-based education.
- Highly proficient in written and oral communication in the English language.
- Possess successful supervisory experience with developing teachers.
- Ability to work effectively with teacher candidates, staff, faculty, and administration.
- Commitment to quality teaching.
- Experience teaching online courses.
- Experience teaching adult learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate effectiveness with technology.
Desired:
- Experience working with students in a CBE program.
Responsibilities:
- Design competency-based education courses.
- Teach online CBE courses as assigned.
- Engage in required training for competency-based education course design and development.
- Collaborate with industry and educational partners to understand global and regional learning needs. Using information from industry partners and trends, determine validated course competencies and related definitions with explanations of competency mastery instructional outcomes.
- Develop assessments, assessment strategies, and corresponding rubrics aligned to all competencies.
- Create performance assessments aligned to course standards.
- Daily feedback is required based on assignments submitted.
- Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators.
