Manley Blackwell, pianist, is on the faculty at the University of West Alabama, where he teaches piano, organ, music fundamentals, and courses in music history.  He completed the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Louisiana State University and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University. He has performed as soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist in many parts of the South and Mid-West.  He frequently performs with music faculty members at the University of Alabama and is often invited for special events at the U.A.
