
Apply for Transfer Housing
To apply for housing, new transfer students must first be admitted to the University of West Alabama and must pay their $200 Enrollment Confirmation Fee (ECF) The ECF is managed by the UWA Admissions Office and may be paid online here. Transfer students who initially did not plan to live on campus and paid a $100 Enrollment Confirmation will still be able to apply, but must pay an additional $100 housing application fee.
New transfer students may apply for housing at any time, but are strongly encouraged to apply by the appropriate date below.

Transfer students who have earned less than 24 credits are required to live at Gilbert Hall their first year. Students who earned less than 48 semester credits credit prior to graduating from high school (dual enrollment, advanced placement, etc.) where more than 50% of the college credits were earned prior to graduating from high school, are required to live at Gilbert Hall their first year of full-time enrollment at UWA.
Housing applications are available in the MyHousing portal under Applications & Forms in the main menu.

Special Accommodations RequestsStudents with disabilities that may need special housing accommodations must contact Will Atkinson, Director of Student Advocacy and Parent Support, via email at WAtkinson@uwa.edu. While students can request accommodations at any time, it is recommended to complete requests as outlined below. Limited space may limit the university's ability to fulfill a request after these dates.
