High School and Community College Counselors

Partner With UWA to Support Students’ Next Steps

Resources and people to help you guide students toward college success

As a high school or community college counselor, you’re one of the most important guides in a student’s journey to college. At the University of West Alabama, we value the expertise, care, and time you invest in helping students explore their options and take their next step with confidence. We’re grateful for the partnership we share with you, and we’re here to support your work with resources you can rely on as you connect students to opportunities at UWA.

Connect with your Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist

Our Recruitment and Enrollment Specialists support counselors and students across the U.S. and internationally. Wherever your students are, we’re here to connect you with the right UWA contact and the resources you need. Reach out anytime with questions, or to schedule a school visit with your specialist.

Campus Visits

A campus tour is a great way for your students to experience UWA firsthand. Tours are led by student ambassadors who share what campus life is really like, and each visit includes time with a Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist to discuss admissions and next steps. Students can also explore UWA through Preview Days, which offer a deeper look at academics, campus life, and resources in a group-visit setting. If your students have specific academic interests, we’re happy to arrange additional meetings with faculty or program representatives upon request.
