The University of West Alabama’s proposal to freeze tuition for the sixth consecutive year has been approved by its board of trustees. The decision comes as part of the board’s approval of the school’s operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year, and this reaffirms UWA’s various rankings as one of the best values of any university in the state

This spring’s rededication of a historic 19th-century Alabama church has given the University of West Alabama a pastoral addition to its roster of campus event spaces.

Though only a freshman, Caroline McKinley’s adoration of the arts is already blossoming at the University of West Alabama. Last fall, she worked behind the scenes with the UWA Theatre and performed as a member of the marching band’s color guard.
