Office of Institutional Advancement
The mission of the Institutional Advancement Team at the University of West Alabama (UWA) is to provide leadership, expertise, support, and implementation in the areas of fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations, public relations, communications and marketing. In accordance with our university’s mission, the Institutional Advancement team is committed to finding the appropriate resources to help UWA meet the state's educational needs, particularly in the West Alabama region.
What are you passionate about?
At UWA, our donors' passions thrive in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff. With your support, we can continue to "do something that matters."

Start your legacy.
Each year we count on the faithful support of a special group of alumni and supporters: The 1835 Club. Named for the year of the university’s founding, this group is comprised of donors who give at least $18.35 each month to ensure we continue positively impacting the lives of our students and our community. Members of the 1835 Club are automatically members of the National Alumni Association.
Continue your legacy.
Want to make a gift that can transform the students and faculty of UWA for years to come? The Office of Institutional Advancement can help you explore ways to use cash, securities, real estate, or other assets to create an outright or future gift to UWA – one that helps you accomplish both your personal and charitable goals.

Stay connected.
Did you know UWA's National Alumni Association (NAA) is open to both alumni and friends of the university? Any donor who gives a minimum of $50 annually is eligible for membership in the NAA and the benefits that go along with it.
