Brady Gaither
Growing up in a lower middle class family, college was never on the radar for me. By the time I was twenty- years- old, I already had several occupations and several leadership roles at larger corporations. Around May 2016 I looked around and realized I had made it as far as I could make it without an education. I began researching schools and weighing my options. A month later I decided on the University of West Alabama. The region of West Alabama harbored everything I deemed necessary as a twenty-year- old: good fishing, prime hunting, and amazing people. I never thought those three attractions and one decision would set my life on a course that I am forever grateful for. During my time at UWA I was a part of several clubs and organizations. I also served as an Athletic Training student, Baptist Campus Ministries leader, Student Ambassador, and Sports Information’s Audio and Visual Student Director. Upon graduation I took a job that lead me to Mobile Al, and shortly after I ended up in North Carolina working in agriculture. I have since returned to the place I call home and am thankful to be a part of the UWA Admissions Staff. I am excited to share my experiences and insight with my students while helping them navigate the next four years and achieve their goals.
