National Pan-Hellenic Council
Membership selection in NPHC is an individualized process that is different for each organization. Chapters choose the time when they will take new members. This process, known as intake, generally begins with an interest meeting followed by a period of membership education. The membership process culminates with initiation and a probate, or "coming-out" show in which the organization's new members are revealed to the community.
We strongly encourage those interested in the Membership Intake process to contact the respective NPHC organizations for more information.
In order to participate in the intake process with any NPHC organization you must first attend NPHC Convocation. This event will give you the opportunity to learn more about the NPHC organizations which are currently active at UWA.
All of our IFC organizations participate in recruitment twice a year in the Fall and Spring. If you are interested in joining, start talking to fellow fraternity men in your classrooms and following them on social media pages. If you are not sure where to start or would like more information, please contact the Office of Student Life.
All three of our National Panhellenic Conference sororities participate in formal recruitment at the beginning of each school year. Throughout this weekend those participating will get a chance to meet all the sorority women, see each organizations philanthropy, learn what sisterhood really means, how each organization follows their values, and hopefully find their new home!
