Allison Brantley

Adjunct Instructor/ Director, Economic Development

Allison Brantley has worked in Livingston for the past thirteen years, serving as Director of Economic Development for the University of West Alabama’s Division of Economic and Workforce Development for the past six years.  She previously served as Executive Director for the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce for five years and continues to play an active role in the Chamber’s operations by serving on the Board of Directors. 

 Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama and Masters of Art and Business Administration from the University of West Alabama.  Allison held several leadership positions at the University of Alabama during her undergraduate years.  Also, while working on her Master of Arts in English at UWA, Allison served on the Steering Committee and Board of Directors for the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce, tutored for the English Department, and was Assistant Coach for UWA’s Women’s Cross Country Team.  Allison has been an adjunct instructor for the College of Business since 2014, is serving as Vice-Chair of Alabama Communities of Excellence Associates Council, received UWA’s National Alumni Association’s College of Liberal Arts Emerging Leader Award, and is a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama’s Board of Directors.

In addition, Allison has been heavily involved in Economic and Community Development activities in the West Alabama Region and holds multiple certificates in these areas.  Allison, her husband Shawn Brantley, and their three little girls Maggie Grace, Leah Beth, and Kenzie currently live in Livingston.
