Dr. Roxine Phillips

Adjunct Faculty

I currently teach Emerging Technologies in the MBA Online Program at UWA.  My knowledge and experience includes teaching business management, leadership and information systems courses.  As an instructor, my focus is on providing a quality education to all students.   I have a passion for teaching and value the opportunity to share with students many years of working experience and knowledge in the business industry.  In order to provide an environment conducive to learning, I encourage students to become active participants in the classroom where we can learn from each other’s classroom discussion.  I convey to all students my willingness and availability to assist them with their studies by making myself readily available for questions and responding to student questions in a timely fashion.  I believe that being attentive and showing concern for the student fosters student motivation and helps to create an excellent learning environment and road to academic success.

My objective is for students to become knowledgeable about the course topic and utilize the information to become innovative and productive in their fields of study.  Various methods of instruction are used to enhance the student’s learning such as group discussions, group projects, individual and group exercises, video presentations, and additional readings relevant to the course topic. The outcome for each student is to apply the information gained in the course to situations they may encounter in their professional experiences.
