Full-time, tenure track, 9-month appointment starting 8 August 2018
Qualifications
Essential:
- Earned PhD in Political Science (advanced, exceptional ABD candidates may be considered)
- Qualified to teach introductory Philosophy and Logic
- A generalist who can teach different fields of Political Science
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration
- Commitment to quality teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Documented experience teaching at the collegiate level
Responsibilities:
- Teach four undergraduate courses in Political Science and, as needed, Philosophy and Logic, per academic semester with the opportunity to teach online
- Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including participating in University and community service
- Work ten office hours each week, on a fixed schedule
- Act as Pre-Law advisor
- Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators
