Once a man or woman identifies the organization that he or she would like to belong to, he or she should attend a social or interest meeting sponsored by the group. Membership intake is the process by which members are inducted to fraternities and sororities. If you are interested in a particular organization, please do not hesitate to contact the President of the organization or the Office of Student Life.

Alpha Kappa Alpha

The goal of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to encourage high scholastic and ethical standards among its members. In addition, the sorority promotes unity and friendship among college women. These qualities help each individual cope with the experiences of college life.

Alpha Phi Alpha

Alpha Phi Alpha was founded in Ithaca, New York on the campus of Cornell University on December 6, 1906. Seven black men saw the need to establish a more intimate relationship among black students and organized the first Black Greek organization. These seven men became our seven Jewels.

Omega Psi Phi

Omega Psi Phi was derived. The phrase was selected as the motto. Manhood, scholarship, perseverance and uplift were adopted as cardinal principles. It is not by accident that many of America’s great black men are/were Omega Men. To this date, there are very few Americans whose lives have not been touched by a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Phi Beta Sigma

Mu Kappa Chapter on the campus of UWA was started April 30, 1980, and has worked with the community and businesses as part of the goals we strive to attain. The brothers have worked to help the orphans in this area and raised fund for the Heart Fund. We are also striving for unity and brotherhood among all races.

Sigma Gamma Rho

It is the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U.S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action. Zeta Phi Beta

Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five extraordinary women know as the Five Pearls.
