Dr. Veronica Triplett has been employed with UWA since 2007 and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Management & Marketing and Director of the Doctor of Business Administration in Rural Business program. She also serves as Director of the Center for Business & Entrepreneurial Services. From 2007-2013 Triplett served as a Business Counselor and Coordinator of Community & Economic Impact Grants programs and from 2013-16 she served as coordinator of the Department of Labor Applied Manufacturing Technology program. In 2015, Triplett was named to her current role and also began teaching business courses at UWA.
Dr. Triplett serves on several boards and advisory committees including treasurer of the University Charter School board, chair of the West Central Alabama Area Health Education Center board, small business and workforce committees, and numerous others. Triplett holds a Digital Marketing Professional certification, an ethical leadership certification and four small business planning certifications. While at UWA, she has helped to secure and manage over $2.75 million in external funds. She and her husband reside in Tuscaloosa with their two children Haleigh and Parker.
Research Interest: Small business marketing, rural entrepreneurship, diversity, and college transfers.
