- Serve as a substitute teacher or classroom floater as needed.
- Assist teachers in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
- Support children with daily routines, including meals, nap time, and activities.
- Help with administrative tasks, including maintaining records, organizing supplies, and assisting the director and secretary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program.
- Foster positive, respectful interactions with students, parents, and faculty.
- Promote an inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must be enrolled in a graduate program at the University of West Alabama.
- Ability to effectively engage with preschool students, staff, faculty, and administration.
- Dedication to implementing creative and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
Desired:
- Prior Experience working with children (early childhood education, daycare, or teaching experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle various responsibilities and adapt to different roles as needed.
