Responsibilities:

  • Deliver age-appropriate instruction that supports the developmental needs of preschool students.
  • Foster open lines of communication with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to student learning and development.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive social interactions and learning experiences.
  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth in the field of early childhood education.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures established by the preschool and affiliated educational institutions.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by Campus School Director and administrators.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to effectively engage with preschool students, staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Dedication to implementing creative and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to uphold “Best Practice” principles in teaching.
  • Capacity to integrate recent research and best practices into classroom activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology for educational purposes. 

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in the State of Alabama with endorsements for relevant subject areas.
  • Compliance with requirements established by the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR).
  • Previous experience working in educational settings, preferably with preschool-aged children.
