The University of West Alabama College of Business is seeking to hire an experienced and dedicated full-time faculty member in Business Administration (Assistant Professor, tenure-track, 9-month) to teach undergraduate and graduate courses starting August 2025 or January 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in business administration (non-profit and for-profit), rural business, and entrepreneurship.
- Serve as Lead Teacher on assigned courses.
- Work with faculty from various colleges on cross-campus collaboration curriculums.
- Participate in assessment activities of the college.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrators.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Doctoral Degree in Business Administration or related fields from an accredited institution. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates.
- Must have 18 graduate hours in business administration, management, or related fields qualified to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
- Commitment to teaching business administration courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to teach on-campus and online.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
Desired:
- Active participation in professional organizations and community service.
- Experience in the business industry.
- Experience in the non-profit, entrepreneurship, and/or rural business industries.
