Return of Student Activity & Student Athletic Fees for Fall 2020

UWA is offering more relief to students in its ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic by returning a portion of student fees from the fall semester. Students will be reimbursed up to nearly $300 previously paid for student activity and student athletic fees.


Who will receive the reimbursement?

The reimbursement will be provided to students who were assessed the fees at the beginning of the fall semester. The amount reimbursed is directly reflective of the amount paid by the student, depending on full- or part-time status.


Why are these funds being returned?

COVID-19's continued impact on campus activities and events has led to cancellations and a significant change in student activity programming for Fall 2020. Although we've adapted and tweaked schedules to provide an entertaining but safe experience this fall, there is so much more that we wanted to do but simply could not due to regulations and requirements for health and safety. Because we have been able to offer students less extracurricular engagement than we wanted to, we are returning fees that were assessed with the intention of being able to offer more.


What amount will I receive?

Students will be returned funds reflective of the fees assessed at the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester, up to nearly $300 per student depending on full-time or part-time status.


How will I receive my reimbursement?

Students with balances paid in full will receive the reimbursement by direct deposit if previously set up, or by mail to their local mailing address if the student has not previously signed up for direct deposits. Students who have unpaid account balances will receive the reimbursement as a credit on their accounts.
