Secondary Education Major

When you prepare to become a teacher at the secondary level, you are certified by the Alabama State Department of Education to teach grades 7-12. Our College of Education provides you with a well-rounded preparation for teaching middle or high school in Alabama in the areas of English, History, Math, Physical Education and Science. If coaching interests you, this teaching certificate opens the door for you to become a teacher/coach — a role most schools want to fill.
