Elementary Education: Education Specialist
At the University of West Alabama, the goal of the Education Specialist program is to recruit, prepare, and retain high quality educators for classrooms, leadership roles, and a variety of other occupations beyond the k-12 classroom. Candidates learn to connect research and practice.

Career Preparation
An Ed.S. degree increases your salary by about $6,000 annually. It will increase your knowledge base and make you more marketable. You are eligible for many positions in the Central Office, leadership roles, Reading Coach, Math Coach, STEM specialist, Curriculum leader, Lead Teacher, and consultant.
