Common Data Sets by Section

The Common Data Set is information report by the Universit of West Alabama to some outside agencies. Information contained in the set includes but is not limited to cohorts, financial aid, tuition and other costs, faculty information, retention rates, and class size. 

 A. General Information

Section A includes basic university information such as UWA's mailing address, admissions contact information, source of institutional control, academic calendar, and degrees offered. 

B. Enrollment and Persistence 
Section B includes Fall enrollment data by college year, status, gender and ethnicity; degrees conferred; and graduation and retention rates. 

C. First-Time, First-Year (Freshman) Admission 
Section C includes Fall data on first-time, first-year freshmen applications, admission, and enrollments; admissions policies relating to academic and non-academic basis for selection and application requirements; and entrance exam score ranges. 

D. Transfer Admission
Section D includes Fall data on transfer student applications, admission, and enrollments, as well as admissions policies relating to application requirements and credit transfers.

E. Academic Offerings and Policies
Section E includes a list of programs available and course area requirements for graduation.

F. Student Life 
Section F includes information pertaining to freshmen and undergraduate student life, university offered activities, and housing.

G. Annual Expenses 
Section G includes information relating to undergraduate full-time tuition, fees, and other expenses.  

H. Financial Aid
Section H includes need-based and non-need-based amounts of aid awarded and types of aid available. 

I. Instructional Faculty and Class Size
Section I includes detailed faculty data, undergraduate class and class section sizes, and the student-to-faculty ratio. 

J. Degrees Conferred 
Section J includes the percentage of undergraduate degrees awarded by discipline areas.
