Professional Development Coordinator

Effective Date: Immediately upon hiring

Qualifications

Required:

  1. Degree in education or related field
  2. Ability to manage diverse clients
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills that will enable the candidate to work effectively with University administrators, faculty, and staff; and P3-12 administrators, faculty, and staff
  4. Strong administrative and technology skills
  5. Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Desired:

  1. Experience in organizing and presenting professional development sessions for P3-Higher Ed.
  2. Experience working with P3-12 administrators, faculty, and staff
  3. Knowledge and implementation of NCTM Standards
  4. Knowledge and implementation of Common Core Standards
  5. Ability to analyze and use data for school improvement in the area of math education
  6. Knowledge of effective use of social media for business development and sales
  7. Experience in marketing and sales of education products and services
  8. Successful experience in grant writing and administration

Responsibilities

  1. Actively seeks new consulting projects
  2. Coordinates with clients for the purpose of identifying training/consulting needs
  3. Works in coordination with the bby team to develop marketing plan/strategies and materials
  4. Coordinates professional development workshops between schools and consultants
  5. Coordinates with consultants and schools regarding training and materials
  6. Maintains consultant and professional development master calendar
  7. Monitors training/consulting services for the purpose of ensuring that performance outcomes are achieved
  8. Administers follow-up evaluations for professional development services
  9. Coordinates consultant training
  10. Organizes materials for distribution at educational conferences; attends educational conferences to market bby materials and services
  11. Actively maintains and regularly updates website and social media presence
  12. Actively maintains email account
  13. Works collaboratively to manage day-to-day operations
  14. Performs other duties as requested by the Director of bby Publications for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of bby Publications
