Senior Lecturer - Counseling Programs (online, non-tenure track)

Effective Date: August 13, 2019




  1. Candidate must have a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from a CACREP-accredited institution.

  2. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching in non-traditional formats (blended and online courses).

  3. Ongoing, demonstrated involvement in the profession as a counselor educator is expected (e.g., membership in ACA, AMHCA, ACES)

  4. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration

  5. Commitment to quality teaching

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  7. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings on-campus as required


  1. Proficiency in using a learning management system

  2. Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing

  3. Experience teaching to diverse populations


  1. Teach four counseling graduate courses per term unless release time is authorized

  2. Mentor/Advise students in the counseling programs

  3. Serve as Lead Teacher on assigned courses

  4. Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators.

Rank and Salary:

Salary is dependent upon training and experience. Includes excellent medical and retirement benefits package.
