Student Organizations

The College of Business and Technology sponsors student-led honor societies, professional associations and student-organized clubs that create opportunities to develop professionally. We encourage our students to join and actively participate in leadership and service positions in the organization.

Organizations

Accounting Club – prepares future accountants with a variety of professional, networking, and fundraising activities for its members.

ENACTUS – formulates and implements free-market educational programs as an internationally recognized non-profit organization on school campuses, in surrounding communities, and statewide with participation of graduate and undergraduate students from all academic disciplines.

Finance Club – benefits students with guest speakers, graduate school preparation, job searches, alumni interaction, and attendance to conferences.

International Student Association – promotes the establishment of a global village on campus, exchanging cultural values and ideas with American students, and serving as a support group for all internationals attending UWA.

Marketing Club – provides tremendous opportunities for marketing career resources, professional development, and active learning experiences.

Student Leadership Council – involves student organization leaders with ongoing communication among COBT students, faculty, and administration.

Toastmasters Club – improves participants’ speaking and leadership skills in a learn-by-doing international organization; key features include members evaluating one another’s presentations, with feedback that is a key part of the program’s success and participants giving impromptu talks on assigned topics, conducting meetings, and developing skills related to timekeeping, grammar, and parliamentary procedure.

Honor Societies

Delta Mu Delta - a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership.

Upsilon Pi Epsilon - the first honor society dedicated to the discipline of the computing and information disciplines and is endorsed by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE-CS), the two largest computer organizations in the world.
