Residence Hall Waiting List This form is for returning UWA students and new transfer students that wish to have their names placed on the fall semester Waiting List for vacancies in another residence hall from where they are already assigned. Only students who have already been assigned to a residence hall for the fall semester may fill out this form. NOTE: This form may only be used between May 1st - August 15th since the Waiting List is only used to fill vacancies prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Once classes begin, residents must follow the procedures for a room change, found at the following site: http://www.uwa.edu/How_to_Change_Rooms.aspx . Waiting List priority for UWA students that lived on campus previously is based on the student's GPA and hours earned, as recorded by the UWA Registrar's Office. Priority also takes into consideration the date that the student's housing application was received by the Housing Office. Waiting List priority for new transfer students is based on the student's GPA and hours earned, as recorded by the UWA Registrar's Office. If data is not available, transfer students must provide the Housing Office with an unofficial copy of their college transcript in order to have their name placed on this Waiting List. Priority also takes into consideration the date that the student's housing application was received by the Housing Office. Since all new freshmen are required to live in Gilbert Hall, first year freshmen cannot sign up on this Waiting List. If your name comes up on the Waiting List, you will be sent an e-mail, asking if you wish to accept the new building assignment. You will be given 24 hours to respond. Failure to respond within the required number of hours will result in a cancellation of the offer and the removal of your name from the Waiting List. For this reason, you are strongly encouraged to check your e-mail at least twice a day. If you accept an offered space and you are re-assigned to a new residence hall, your name will be removed from the Waiting List. If you wish to have your name on the Waiting List for a different building, you must fill out this form again after being notified that your building assignment has been changed.
