  • Can my parent attend Tiger Trails?

    Though parents are not required to attend orientation, all parents and/or guardians of incoming students are invited to attend Orientation free of charge. Parents are provided with information on student services, expenses, and how to assist their student in transitioning to college. You also have the opportunity to meet with selected faculty members and meet current UWA students.

     
    A freshman parent session will be held the first day of the July 10-11 freshman Tiger Trails session. The session begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes typically before 12:00 p.m. Following the morning session please stay and enjoy a complimentary lunch in Young Hall Cafeteria. There are no evening activities planned for parents; although, fun night activities and dinner is provided for freshman students.

     
    We are unable to provide on-campus lodging for parents and guests attending Parent Orientation. To assist parents with their accommodations, the University has a provided a list of hotels located close to campus. We recommend that you contact a hotel at least two weeks in advance.

     
    Transfer parent sessions will be held in conjunction with the Tiger Trails transfer sessions. Parents and students should sign-in at the Bell Conference Center between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m. The sessions begin at 9:15 a.m. and conclude typically by 12:00 p.m.
