New Student Orientation
Beginning college is a new transition. Whether you live on or off campus, you will take on new responsibilities, meet a variety of diverse people, and adjust to the academic demands of college life. To enhance your experience as a new student with the University of West Alabama, we offer Tiger Trails, our new student orientation. Our student orientation is designed to cater to your every need while beginning college at UWA.
All first-year undergraduates, both freshmen and transfer Students, must participate in one of the Orientations. New freshmen students beginning in Fall 2013 must participate in the Tiger Trails Orientation Session on July 11-12, 2013. Only students who have been accepted to UWA are allowed to attend Tiger Trails Orientation. Prior registration for Tiger Trails is required in order to attend. Freshman students who have been accepted to the University of West Alabama for the Fall 2013 semester should expect to receive information concerning Tiger Trails around April 20. Students accepted to the University of West Alabama after April 15 will receive Tiger Trails information by mail once accepted.
