    International Freshmen

    1  -  Trustee Award

    980 - 1050 SAT

    $2,500 per year

    2  -  Trustee Honors Award I

    1060 - 1120 SAT

    $3,500 per year

    3  -  Trustee Honors Award II

    1130 - 1200 SAT

    $4,500 per year

    $11,000 per year

            Note that for scholarship purposes, only the critical reading and math portions of the SAT are counted. For ACT, the composite is used.

    Trustee Academic Awards are available to entering on campus freshmen with a 980 SAT or higher and a 3.0 or better GPA. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $11,000 per year and are renewable for up to four academic years with a minimum 3.0 GPA. On campus residency required.

    7  -  Prepared Student Scholarship

            This scholarship is granted to any qualifying undergraduate applicant who meets specific English test score requirements prior to enrollment. The scholarship is $1,000 ($500 per semester) for the first two semester in attendance at the University of West Alabama.

    Students will provide evidence of completion of ELS 112 Intensive English program with ELS Education Services OR score at least 6.5 on the IELTS or 550 on the paper based TOEFL (213 CBT or 80 IBT). Test scores must be received by the International Programs office before the student's acceptance to the University of West Alabama in order to receive the scholarship. A student may substitute the above requirements with SAT scores (1000 critical reading + math with a minimum of 550 on the critical reading portion). On campus residency required.

    8  -  Elite Graduate Scholarship

            This scholarship is granted to any qualifying graduate student applicant who meets specific English test score requirements prior to enrollment. The scholarship is $1,000 ($500 per semester) for the first two semesters in attendance in graduate school at the University of West Alabama.

    Students will provide evidence of completion of ELS 112 Intensive English program with ELS Education Services OR score at least 6.5 on the IELTS or 550 on the paper based TOEFL (213 CBT or 80 IBT).
