All international students must report to International Programs in the International/Honors House for check-in and documentation verification before but no later than 12:00 noon on Registration Day of each Fall Semester and Registration Day of each Spring Semester. The dates are above. Failure to do so will result in the international student being unable to register and a fine of $250. Check-in, documentation verification, and payment of fine must be completed prior to registering for classes. Students will need to provide International Programs with the following: Passport Visa (Not required of Canadian students) (A) I-94 Stamp in Passport that shows Duration of Stay (D/S) and Port of Entry—If you arrive by air or sea. (B) I-94 Paper Card that shows Duration of Stay (D/S) and Port of Entry—If you arrive by land. I-20* (Initial I-20 recipients, please see below.) Mailing Address Physical Address Phone number (If you have a phone number) *The I-20 is your F-1 student immigration document. It has been produced by SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) and is an acknowledgement that your record is in the SEVIS system. Information for students who are initial I-20 recipients and have no established record on file in SEVIS. SEVIS Fee Receipt All new students coming in F-1 status must pay a $200 SEVIS fee prior to applying for your visa. Although Canadian citizens are not required to get a US visa stamp, they are required to pay the SEVIS fee before going to the Port of Entry. You will receive a second receipt sent to you by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
