• Coordinator of Professional and Continuing Studies 

    Division of Educational Outreach

    Effective Date: May 2014

    Supervision: The Coordinator of Profession and Continuing Studies will report directly to the Dean of the Division of Educational Outreach 

    Qualifications: 
    Required:

    1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
    2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    3. Excellent management and public relations skills.
    4. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of groups, individuals and organizations.
    5. Ability to coordinate conferences, summer camp/clinic programs, and continuing education activities.
    6. Demonstrated computer skills in programs, including Microsoft Office and Excel and social media.

    Desired:

    1. Master's degree.
    2. Demonstrated experience dealing with multiple constituencies, including University personnel and the general public.
    3. Experience working with both youth and adult programs.
    4. Demonstrated success as an administrator or supervisor.
    5. Demonstrated marketing experience.
    6. Previous experience in continuing education, professional development training, workforce development and/or conference or camp planning.
    7. Decision-making, problem-solving, and research skills.
    8. Grant writing experience.

    Responsibilities:  

    1. Coordinate all aspects of continuing education and camp/clinic/conference activities for all age ranges.
    2. Work with University community to advance continuing education and camp/clinic enrollment and recruitment strategies.
    3. Work with Dean to develop and maintain budget for continuing education and camp operations.
    4. Work with Dean to seek out and apply for grant funding for supplies and special projects.
    5. Establish and maintain positive relationships with community leaders and community, civic and business organizations for program offerings.
    6. Work with University community to develop new programs based on identified needs.
    7. Work with Dean to manage the ongoing planning and evaluation of the Continuing Education and camp initiatives, detailing measurable outcomes to be reported regularly.
    8. Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of all programs offered.
    9. Coordinate with all University Colleges, Athletics, Housing, Dining and all applicable University staff.
    10. Assume related responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned by the Dean.

    Salary: Dependent upon training and experience; includes excellent benefits package.
