    Horace C. Hunt Award

     

    The Horace C. Hunt Award was established by the Gainesville Supper Club in 1987 in memory of Dr. Horace C. Hunt. This award is presented annually to the most outstanding student athletic trainer at the University of West Alabama.

    American Sports Medicine Institute’s Academic Scholarship in Sports Medicine

     

    American Sports Medicine Institute’s Academic Scholarship in Sports Medicine is awarded annually during the senior year to an Athletic Training Major employed in Sports Medicine who has an overall grade point average of at least a 3.00 and is recommended by the Athletic Training faculty.

    The Clemit & Vicki Spruiell Athletic Training Scholarship was established in 2007 by L.G. and Sara Cunningham and Clemit and Vicki Spruiell to enhance the educational opportunities for Athletic Training majors sophomore and above with a 3.00 GPA or higher in overall and Athletic Training Major course work.
