COLLEGE OF BUSINESS MISSION STATEMENT AND GOALS
The College of Business supports the University's mission through the College's defined vision, mission and standing goals.
Vision Statement: Attain regional recognition for facilitating industrial, technological and economic development throughout the Black Belt.
Mission Statement: Provide quality education in specialized fields of business for a diverse student population, and prepare graduates for leadership roles in the local, national, and global community.
Standing Goals:
- Promote continuous improvement in the quality of the business programs.
- Provide educational opportunities in business for students of diverse backgrounds.
- Increase the visibility of the College of Business.
- Graduate students, who are employable, seek to enhance their professional credentials, or pursue advanced degrees in business or business related disciplines.
The University’s College of Business is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs to offer the following business degrees: Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and Technology.
To assure that programs are timely and relevant to student needs, the College of Business maintains membership in the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, The Southern Business Administration Association, and The Alabama Association for Higher Education in Business.
For students who wish to acquire technical skills leading to early employment, a two-year associate degree program is offered in Industrial Maintenance.
