The mission of the Black Belt Museum is to collect, preserve, exhibit, interpret, and celebrate the landscape and rich history of the Black Belt of Alabama and Mississippi. The Museum is a center for regional study, programs and other public activities, and is developing modern exhibits that will be seen nowhere else in the Black Belt. The Museum’s collections include items of archaeological, botanical, geological, paleontological, and archival interest.
