The classes will offer the tools that aspiring entrepreneurs need to start, re-organize, or grow a small business. <br /><br /><br />The classes are part of Operation Jump Start Business Planning, a program designed to teach participants to set goals, do market research, determine pricing, make the sale, understand and create cash flow projections and write a business plan. <br /><br />Following the course, participants will have the opportunity to meet with and build working relationships with lenders about their business plans.<br /><br />Donald Mills is the primary instructor for the series of classes. Mills has more than 25 years of experience in starting and managing small businesses. Mills is director of the Small Business Development Center at UWA. <br /><br />The six-week series begins on Tuesday, Jan. 8 and continues each Tuesday and Thursday night through February 19. Classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Demopolis Higher Education Center.<br /><br />The course is free and open to the public. Registration by Jan. 5 is required.
