• UWA's Applied Manufacturing Technology Program taking applications through Nov. 1

    The University of West Alabama’s Manufacturing Technology Training Program will accept applications for the spring semester through Nov. 1. The program includes Welding and Industrial Maintenance I & II.

    The Applied Manufacturing Technology Program provides customized training in manufacturing skills and technologies incorporated in all major manufacturing industries located within the institution's eight-county primary service area including: Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter and Wilcox counties in Alabama.

    The TAACCCT grant (AMT program) is funded 100% by the US Department of Labor for which UWA received $2.2 million dollars for this grant project.

    Applications and eligibility requirements are available from the Division of Outreach Services office located at UWA, Guy Hunt Hall, Suite 122, Livingston, Ala.
