• Strength & Conditioning Coach

     

    EFFECTIVE DATE:              June 1, 2013 or soon thereafter

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    Essential:

    1. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    2. Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed in weight room as well as academically.
    3. Ability to work effectively with head coaches of each sport.
    4. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Physical Education or a related field.

    Desirable:

    1. Strength coaching experience.
    2. Strength & Conditioning Certification.
    3. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
    4. Experience as a student-athlete.

    FUNCTIONS:                                   

    1. Organize and plan strength training sessions in coordination with head coaches of each sport.
    2. Effectively document the progress of student-athlete strength & conditioning activities; setting appropriate goals.
    3. Assist head coaches as needed with strength & conditioning activities.

    SALARY:    Monthly stipend of $1,000 with potential assistance with graduate school tuition.
