• When You Get Paid  2012- 2013

Students must be enrolled for the correct number of hours to receive financial aid.

    Federal Pell Grants:
Pell Grants are reduced according to the student’s enrollment status:
    12 hrs. or more = Full-Time
    9 – 11 hrs. = ¾ Time
    6 – 8 hrs. = ½ Time
5 or less hrs. = Less Than Half-Time

    Federal Stafford and Perkins Loans:
Students must be enrolled at least half-time to qualify for student loans. The University has defined half-time as 6 credit hours for undergraduate students and 3 credit hours for graduate students. Federal regulations require lenders to delay disbursement to first-time freshmen for 30 days.

    Census Date:
Financial aid disbursements are based on the student’s enrollment status at the close of the last day to add classes each semester. Once funds are disbursed, no adjustments for changes in enrollment status will be made to financial aid awards.

    When:
Financial aid funds are posted to the student’s student account on the 3rd day of classes each semester. If the funds overpay the account, a check is written and mailed to the student’s Local Mailing Address. Checks written every Tuesday for the balance of the semester.

When funds are posted to the student’s account, the Student Accounts Supervisor will e-mail the student to notify them that Federal funds have been disbursed.
