• Murphy crowned 2016 Homecoming Queen at UWA

    Callie Murphy, a senior integrated marketing communications major from Fenton, Mich., was crowned queen at UWA’s homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 8. Murphy is one of seven leading ladies elected by the student body to the 2016 homecoming court.

    Murphy was crowned during halftime festivities at the UWA vs. Delta State football game at Tiger Stadium, a 54-42 victory for UWA.

    Leighanna Chadwick, a freshman biology comprehensive, pre-med major from Silas, Ala., is the freshman maid.

    Guadalupe Meza, a sophomore biology comprehensive, pre-med major from Robertsdale, Ala., is the sophomore maid.

    Sherrel Keith, a senior business administration major from Montevallo, Ala., is a member of the queen’s court.

    Savannah Reach, a senior biology comprehensive, pre-med major from Lawley, Ala., is a member of the queen’s court.

    Tranquil Shepherd, a senior accounting major from Greensboro, Ala., is a member of the queen’s court.

    Tiffany Willis, a junior criminal justice major from Fairfield, Ala., is a member of the queen’s court.
