    UWA hosts Mississippi Symphony Orchestra
LIVINGSTON, Ala.—The Sumter County Fine Arts Council presents the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra in concert Tuesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of West Alabama’s Bibb Graves Auditorium.

The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra has delighted West Alabama audiences for many years with its combination of classical and contemporary music and energetic performances.

Hailed as “one of the up-and-coming conductors who bears watching,” Crafton Beck is now entering his eleventh season as Music Director and Conductor of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Critics and presenters around the country have embraced Beck’s performances in both the classical and pops repertoire.

Admission to the performance is free to SCFAC members and UWA students with student identification. Tickets may be purchased at the door. General admission is $10 for adults and $2 for students.

The council receives support from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, the University of West Alabama, and other agencies, businesses, and individuals.
