• Dr. Santiago Castroviejo-Fisher Fulbright Lecture

    Hosted by the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Dr. Santiago Castroviejo-Fisher will present "The Diversity of Spain: One Name for Many Countries." He is currently a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Before accepting the Fellowship, he was  a visiting professor at the Instituto de Genética, Departamento de Ciencias Biológicas, Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia.

    Castroviejo received the doctorate in evolutionary genetics from Uppsala University in Sweden, where he served for a year as an associate researcher in the sub-department of Evolutionary Biology. He has published extensively in professional journals and has received numerous awards and fellowships.  

    The lecture will be held at UWA's Callaway Schoolhouse and is open to the public. For more information, contact Brian Burnes.
