• UWA Lower-Level Degree Requirements for a

    MAJOR IN MATHEMATICS/COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS COMPREHENSIVE

    Core Curriculum Requirements 

    Students transferring from Alabama public two-year and four-year colleges and universities should consult the AGSC site for complete details regarding Areas I-IV for all majors, including the list of approved courses for each institution. Specific requirements for students majoring in Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive at Alabama public two-year schools and for UWA pre-Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive majors are included below. 

    AREA I -- Written Composition (6 semester hours) 

    AGSC: No specific courses required for Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive majors beyond the AGSC requirements.

    AGSC: There are no specific courses required for Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive majors beyond the AGSC requirements, but the following course is strongly preferred:

    AREA III -- Natural Sciences and Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive (11 semester hours) 

    AGSC: No specific course required for Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive beyond the AGSC requirements. 

    UWA: Students planning to complete the bachelor's degree in Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive are required to complete the pattern in natural science and Mathematics - Computer Information Systems Comprehensive as listed below:
