• Assistant Professor of Library Media

    Online Liaison (Non-tenure track, Rank open)

    Qualifications:

    Essential:

    1. Earned doctorate in Library Media or a related field with at least 18 semester hours of graduate level work in the field
    2. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, administration, and public school personnel
    3. Commitment to quality teaching
    4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    5. Demonstrated effectiveness in applying technology to teaching  

    Desired:

    1. Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level
    2. Demonstrated effectiveness in working with Professional Development Schools
    3. Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing  

    Responsibilities:

    1. Teach undergraduate and graduate level online courses in Library Media
    2. Teach other professional courses as needed online
    3. Schedule at least four virtual office hours over a four day period each week
    4. Schedule at least six on campus office hours at least one day per week
    5. Participate in teleconferences and seminars
    6. Serve as a liaison between on campus and online faculty
    7. Provide input on course design
    8. Provide faculty professional development on online instruction as needed
    9. Assist faculty with online course development and management that reflect best practices
    10. Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including advising students, conducting scholarly research and participating in University and community service and service to local schools
    11. Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators  

    Salary: Dependent upon credentials; includes excellent benefits package.
