Housing and Meal Plan Rates The residence hall rental rates for 2013-14 are listed below. Please note that all rates are subject to change. The rates listed are per person, per semester, based on double occupancy (unless otherwise noted). The same rate applies for triple occupancy rooms at Stickney Hall. Most students attend the University two semesters each year (fall and spring). The meal plan rates listed are the tentative 2013 - 2014 rates, but are subject to change until approved by the Board of Trustees. The meal plans listed refer to the standard minimum meal plan required of the particular residence hall and how many meals are provide each week. Please note that new freshmen are generally assigned to Gilbert Hall. If a new freshman is assigned to another residence hall, a 14 meal plan will still be required. Although not required, a 19 meal plan is available for $1,186 per semester (tentatively). For more information on the meal plans, please go here. Residents assigned to Selden initially will be charged the Gilbert Hall rental rate ($2,320). Selden residents will receive a prorated rebate once they move to their permanent fall room assignment, if the new building's rate is less than Gilbert Hall. If it the rate is more, the resident will pay the difference in price. If a resident is required to remain at Selden Hall for the entire fall semester, the student will receive a rebate to reflect the actual cost of Selden Hall ($1,650). Residents will not be permitted to remain in Selden Hall if vacancies are available in other residence halls on campus.
