Advisor Hours Extended
Online students typically live a different lifestyle than a traditional on-campus student. Most have full-time jobs, some have children and very few have routine schedules. With that in mind, the UWA Division of Online Programs is taking another step toward meeting the needs of its students at the times when those needs arise.
An 8-to-5 schedule for online students? Forget about it. In most cases, it doesn’t exist. UWA online advisors are now available for 12 hours per day (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. For now, regular office hours are still in place for Thursday and Friday.
“Being accessible to your customers is a very important key to any successful business venture,” Dr. Martha Hocutt, Dean of the Division of Online Programs, said. “While this is another step toward meeting more needs of our current and prospective students, we intend to monitor closely to see if additional advising hours are needed in the future.”
Online advisors are available by calling toll free 1-877-892-1835 and selecting option 1. The advising staff is also available via email at online@uwa.edu. They are eager to help walk you through the steps necessary to become a member of the UWA Online family.
