• UWA’s Applied Manufacturing Technology Program now accepting applications

     The University of West Alabama’s Manufacturing Technology Training Program is currently accepting applications for the fall semester. The programs offered includes: automotive technician, welding and industrial maintenance levels I & II.

    The Applied Manufacturing Technology Program will provide customized training in manufacturing skills and technologies incorporated in all major manufacturing industries located within the Institution's eight-county primary service area which includes: Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter and Wilcox counties in Alabama.

    For those who are interested, applications and eligibility requirements are available from the Division of Outreach Services office located at UWA, Guy Hunt Hall, Suite 122, Livingston, AL.

    The application deadline for the fall semester is August 8, 2014. Individuals can also request an application packet be mailed to them by calling (205) 652-3665 or by going online and clicking on Information Request and completing the form.
