Among her responsibilities is the school’s Homecoming celebration, set for October 24 and 25. Buckalew will also lead the staff in coordinating events across Alabama and in other areas with a population of UWA alumni.
The dedication will be held in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium at 1:30 p.m. and will be followed by a reception and tour of the new facility, which is located in room 216 of the James P. Homer Fieldhouse.
Jay Haffner, District Fisheries Supervisor and Fisheries Biologist at the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, will present a discussion entitled “Raising Big Fish: Pond and Lake Management.”
